Marathon is an ideal location being close to the middle of the chain of islands collectively known as the Florida Keys. These islands are connected, all the way down to Key West, with a series of some 44 bridges, not least of which is known as Seven-mile bridge (for obvious reasons) at the south end of Marathon. Every imaginable water sport is available close by, including the magical Dolphin Research Center where you can actually swim with the dolphins. Other activities include boating, fishing, diving & snorkeling, sailing, parasailing, water skiing and jet skiing.
